Best place for wellness and finding peace !

We stayed at the resort for a business trip and leisure. We wish we had more time to spend in the resort. It's adults only which is perfect for a quiet stay, enjoy calmness and peacefulness. Great food and especially the Lebanese restaurant is amazing! We loved sea water pool at the spa and a FREE Aerial Yoga class that was the best I have ever experienced! The teacher was very professional and focused on each participant catering for their needs. It was a truly therapeutic practice helping us to unwind and recharge !

We wish to stay longer and enjoy this place the the fullest ! Definitely coming back !

A most relaxing, enjoyable stay at the Riviera Spa Resort in April 3025.

I liked the location. The view from the property is breathtaking. Just a short walk away, there is a bus stop where you can avail of Malta’s excellent public transport system. The staff were most helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the room service was excellent throughout my two weeks there. Breakfast was first class with a very wide range of food available to cater for all tastes. The facilities at the hotel including swimming pools and gymnasium were first class.

I could not find fault with anything.

Over all, good!

The staff were great and good breakfast selection

Everything was clean except for the gym. It was super dusty. And one of the elevators stopped working the last 2-3 days which was an inconvenience.

Very relaxing and good quality

Room was very big, fantastic sea view, lovely balcony. Breakfast was exceptional. Dinner buffet also very good. Bar options good! Pool was nice too. It's ideal for a comfortable and quiet gateway.

It's a bit isolated. Limited restaurant and entertainment around. Clientele was mainly seniors but might be the season, not an issue but of course entertainment is target just to be aware of it.

Wonderful

Location of the place was very nice - close to the ferry and in a really quiet area. You can get there directly from airport with one public bus. Room was clean with comofrtable matterasses, small fridge and all needed bathroom cosmetics and accessories (robe, slippers, soap exc.). The personel was kind and helpful. Reccommended!

In general, everything was excellent since the location, facilities, and food all exceeded my expectations.

The extra bed in the room was very poor, the mattress was really not good, after claiming it was changed, but the bed is still not good.

We had a sea view room, and it was amazing! The view from the hotel is pretty beautiful. Waking up to that view or seeing the sunset from there was a blessing. The room was big, with a balcony. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is pretty good, with many options and a sea view. We were by car, and the location was excellent, with parking and super close to the points where boats could be taken to Comino and Gozo.

I suggest improving the lift service. Only two or three lifts were working, so we waited a little during peak times. I would also suggest providing natural juice and varying the fruit options for breakfast. The hairdryer was weak and old, so this is something that can be improved as well.

We had an amazing stay in a perfect location next to comino ferries that take you to blue lagoon.

Amazing location! Great views ! Excellent service and FREE Yoga Pilates and Tai Chi classes!

My stay was too short ! I wish I could stay more and enjoy more yoga classes, walks in the nature and spa facilities

What was the highlight of Riviera Spa Resort

Great location for chilling + excursions, needs more TLC in some areas.

Great location if you want to balance relaxation vs activities. The bus stop is a 2 minute walk up the road, with great access to a lot of the main island. Also, very close to the ports for the Comino / Gozo boat trips. A lot of the other tours (e.g. Valletta) will also pick up directly from this hotel. Dive centre is also right on your doorstep. The hotel is now child-free, there was a very peaceful vibe, loved it. You have to book your sauna slot for the day, in advance. We were there in a slow-ish part of season and managed to book for the same-day. Free yoga classes were fun. They also had Salsa and Pilates. Buffet has lots of options, including local dishes. Very dangerous if you’re on any kind of diet though.

Saw a lot of reviews stating how clean it was. Generally yes, but there were a few spots / few issues that would suggest not. For the first few days our room had a weird rotten-seaweed type smell. We couldn’t figure out if it was coming from the AC unit or from the drains. Either way, it disappeared after housekeeping came to do their clean. The spa area indoor pool (the circle pool) had heaps of sand in the circulation dead spots. I work in pool maintenance and can reasonably assume that the amount was far more than a week’s worth that needed vacuuming out, especially since we were there in slow season. That area also smelled quite bad of mould, and just in a general state of disrepair. The cold area was also out of order, but no signage which confirmed this. We walked in to the cold area and smelled horrendously of mould / stagnant water. We wouldn’t have walked in if it was sign posted to say out of order. We had to ask at the desk whether they knew it was off or not. Not much in the way of other restaurants within walking distance. Fine if you’re all for the all-inclusive type vibes. The AC unit is apparently linked to a central system, which means if the building is still in Heat mode, then it won’t go below 23°C. We were there mid-April and we had some warmer nights that we were not able to use the AC on cold, as the whole building was still in Heat mode.

A fantastic stay

We paid for an upgrade to have a room with a direct sea view (see the pictures) and it was wonderful - good size, comfy beds and a great view of Marfa jetty and Comino. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We didn't have a car, but you don't really need it, there's a bus stop nearby and buses are frequent. We recommend buying a travel card for 25 EUR for unlimited travel for seven days including the airport and Gozo (not the ferry). All in all, a fantastic stay and we definitely want to come back!

Brilliant stay!

Staff were exceptional - very friendly and helpful. Hotel is walkable to Mellieha, and the bus to St Paul's Bay stops right outside. Directly opposite the hotel is the boat to Comino island.
